Food and Photography
When I started at Endicott College in 1982, my major was graphic design. In my second year, photography was a required course. I discovered I really enjoyed photography and changed my major to Art and Photography. After graduating from Endicott I attended the Art Institute of Boston as a photography student. At the time, I was interested in fine art photography. After leaving school I needed to support myself so I entered Corporate America and eventually became an IT professional. Fast forword to the digital age, I rediscovered my love for photography.
I love food and am intrigued with interesting combinations of flavors, my favorite show is Chopped! I admit, I'm fascinated with the culinary arts, and enjoy cooking, although the end result isn't always what I intended!
Photography is my passion, and photographing food is the perfect fit. When the chef brings out his/her creation for me to photograph I love to see the textures and colors of the food and how the light falls around the dish. Every dish is a new opportunity to create something special.
When I'm not photographing food I enjoy taking photographs of life around me.
“ If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it's as though I've neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up. "
